Vae Holloway is my professional alias—I’m an Atlanta-based composer, writer, dramaturg, and poet with a passion for experimental textures and immersive, psychologically complex narratives. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Performance with an emphasis in Music from Georgia State University, where I focused on classical vocal performance and theatre. As a dramaturg, I participated in the Working Title Playwrights (WTP) New Play Dramaturgy Intensive (2023–2024), where I deepened my passion for new work and collaborative storytelling. I’m also committed to service and outreach through the community with the Music as Medicine Atlanta Chapter (2024–2025).
My artistic path has taken many shapes—playwright, stage manager, actor, dramaturg, and poet. I create poetry both independently, to stay grounded in my own perspective, and within my music and theatre work, where it shapes how I tell stories.
I’m currently developing a musical that explores mental health stigma through a lens shaped by my love of horror, psychological thrillers, and science fiction. These genres allow me to explore emotional complexity, internal landscapes, and the things we’re often afraid to say out loud. As a classically trained singer, I’m also deeply interested in creating musicals that encourage performers to use their voices in inventive, expressive, and vocally sustainable ways—pieces that challenge traditional musical theater expectations while still caring for the artist. My goal is to write stories that not only unsettle or provoke but also offer catharsis, reflection, and room to breathe.
