Still life

I sit so still,
even dust dares to land—
each thought a warning,
each move, a risk.
I map disasters
for choices I never make,
turning air into glass
too fragile to touch.
Outside, a crow cuts the sky
without asking how.
I watch,
waiting for permission
to just exist,
while the sun spills gold
like I’ve already earned it.
